As The City of Calgary embarked on the expansion of the West Calgary LRT, residents in the adjacent neighborhoods were becoming increasingly concerned over the esthetic impact the expansion would have on their neighborhoods. Transportation engineers required detailed data sets of the intersection of Crowchild Trail NW and Bow Trail NW in order to create 3D plans of this very congested area and determine the best alignment for the new LRT rail system.
